Kingco District Wrestling Championship This Weekend at Juanita High School

This Friday and Saturday, February 4th and 5th is our Kingco District Wrestling Tournament at Juanita High School. All varsity wrestlers and JV that qualified via the JV Wrestle-In tournament this weekend, will participate. The top 5 in each weight class will advance to regionals the following weekend.
Friday matches start at 3:30 PM and Saturday wrestling starts at 10 AM. The championship matches will be at 5:30 PM on Saturday.

Catherine Kelly Tournament Champion

Catherine Kelly placed first in the Lady's Wolfpack Wrestling Tournament at Sedro-Wooley this weekend. This is her second tournament championship in the last two weeks. Redmond co-captain, Catherine Kelly remains undefeated in girls wrestling competition this year. Catherine is one of the favorites to win a state championship this year at 119 lbs., coming off a 4th-place finish at 112 lbs. in last year's state tournament and 2nd-place in the Washington State Freestyle Championship this summer at 119 lbs.

Kingco JV Wrestle-In Tournament

Redmond took 4 wrestlers to the Kingco JV Wrestle-In Tournament at Roosevelt High School today. Travis Sage took second place at 145 lbs. to qualify for the Kingco District Wrestling Tournament at Juanita High School February 4th and 5th. At 171 lbs., Charlie Glass pinned two wrestlers on his way to the finals to keep his season alive. Derek Turner also took second place and will join his teammates next weekend.
